Cuaba
Founded in 1996, Cuaba is the first completely new cigar brand established after the Cuban Revolution. It focuses on reviving the 19th-century popular "Double Figurado" shape, an elegant perfecto (torpedo at both ends) that showcases unique aesthetics. The brand name "Cuaba" originates from the Taíno language, meaning the flammable shrubs used by Cuban indigenous people to light cigars, symbolizing the ancient vitality of tobacco culture.
All Cuaba cigars feature the Double Figurado design, handcrafted by experienced Grade 7 torcedores (rollers), requiring an additional 30% of labor time. Due to the high difficulty of production, the qualification rate accounts for only 0.4% - 0.5% of Cuba's total cigar exports, earning it the reputation as "the sculptural art of the cigar world."
