The core of the CAO Colombia series is the use of a rare, proprietary Colombian tobacco named "Ica Mazinga." Grown in an isolated mountainous region near the Caribbean coast, this seed has been refined since the 19th century.
Colombian tobacco is quite rare in the premium cigar industry due to its low yield. CAO spent 15 years working with local farmers to secure a stable supply of this high-quality leaf. "Tinto" is a colloquial term in Colombia for "black coffee," which cleverly reflects the cigar's signature coffee notes.
