The Cohiba Behike series is named after the initials of brand founder Ernesto "Behike" and symbolizes a tribute to and inheritance of Cuban cigar history. The number "56" represents the cigar's ring gauge. The annual production of the Cohiba Behike series is limited. It is the only regular production Cuban cigar that includes a fourth filler leaf type (Medio Tiempo), therefore considered the most unique in the Cuban cigar portfolio.
Medio Tiempo is a very rare type of tobacco leaf. It refers to the top two leaves of a tobacco plant grown under full sun. Due to their privileged position on the plant, these leaves have excellent characteristics and flavor, offering good combustion and a uniquely refined, intense concentration.
